Of Bird Nests and Bondage at the GrammysPosted February 9th, 2010 At 12:34 pm By MTV ASIA
Don’t you all just love awards season?
The divas come out to play, yards of fabric are used to cover up artistes’ bodies in varying ways, cute people get dressed up cutely and people get to win prizes! Everyone wins, including myself, because then I have something to blog about.
First of all, we all need some constancy in our lives. Something that doesn’t change. And we know you can count on Lady Gaga for that.
Sure, her outfits change, but you can sure as hell count on her to be entertaining.

Celebrities Known for All the Wrong ReasonsPosted December 4th, 2009 At 5:06 pm By MTV ASIA
Fame comes with a price, but it shouldn’t deviate from what you’re supposed to be famous for. I’m talking about actors and singers whose names are a staple on front page tabloids, and whose antics tend to overshadow their talent, or lack thereof, in some cases.

Lady Gaga Rocks Alexander McQueenPosted November 17th, 2009 At 11:29 pm By MTV ASIA
Compared to most other things Lady Gaga’s been wearing, those Alexander McQueen shoes actually look normal on her in her Bad Romance video. In fact, it’s almost as though they were made with the Gaga in mind. Behold:

The video is all kinds of wacky. I was freaked out when I first saw it – more because of her freakishly protruding spine than anything else, even more so than a whole list of other freaky things in the video, for example: the hot Russian mafia, her exploding flaming nipple gun, spasming fingers and Silent-Hill-like dancers.

‘I Wanna Be A Celebrity!’ Find Out Why You Shouldn’tPosted October 20th, 2009 At 6:30 pm By MTV ASIA

When we were young, most of us had grand dreams (and delusions) of growing up one day and taking one of three career paths – doctors, lawyers, or actors.
As time passed, we’ve come to learn the hard way that only a handful of gifted ones make the cut. Unless you’re the offspring of Angelina Jolie, your breakthrough performance might more likely be in a local production than some Hollywood blockbuster.

MTV VMA Red Carpet Fashion AwardsPosted September 16th, 2009 At 11:27 pm By MTV ASIA
MTV gave out their own awards to celebrate musical excellence Sunday night in NYC, but over here, the efforts and exertions of the stars that went into dressing their best did not go unnoticed by us. Ergo, we want to give out some awards of our own, to honor the people who have brought fashion to a whole new level.
These are the people who bring excitement, drama and even civic-mindedness to fashion. So how could we allow them to go uncelebrated?
First off:
The Gangsta Girlfriend Award
goes to Amber Rose, for making the perfect Gangsta Accessory, for where would a homie be without his shorty? Without her, Kanye would just look like a drunken douche. With her on his arms, he still looks like a drunken douche, but at least one who’s telling you he’s still going to score tonight, no matter how drunkenly douchey he acted.
If he was Voldemort, she would be his pet snake, Nagini. Behold:

2009 MTV Video Music Awards – A Night of Mayhem, Chaos, Shocks, Fairy Tales and Rock ‘n’ Roll!Posted September 14th, 2009 At 8:08 pm By MTV ASIA
Russell Brand, host of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards (Photo by: Christopher Polk/Getty Images)If it’s any one who could deliver the most outrageous and jaw-dropping award show of the year, it has to be MTV. Not that I’m singing the channel’s praises just because. I’m saying this because it’s simply the gospel since 1984.
Case in point – The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Kanye West unexpectedly earning the “Jerk Of The Year” award by crushing a little lamb like Taylor Swift to tears, Madonna delivering a moving Michael Jackson speech and a fitting tribute by Janet Jackson, the limelight hogging Lady Gaga spurting blood, Muse and Green Day bringing the house down and Beyonce showing the world she is afterall, one of the top divas with superb class and grace. The red carpet has its moments too, with various stars arriving in style. Pink with her fire truck, 3OH!3 with their roses, Taylor Swift in a horse-drawn carriage. Those are the reasons why the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards is wholly all encompassing – It’s of mayhem, chaos, shocks, fairy tales and undeniably rock ‘n’ roll!
