The premier of MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012 is nearly upon us! Even if you’re not a true Belieber, any music fan could appreciate what went down this past July 14 at the beyond awesome Surf Beach @ Sunway Lagoon. Although past MTV World Stage events have hovered more in the rock region music-wise, this year’s event gave us all a healthy dose of what’s currently spinning the pop universe. So the past month, like I said in my previous post, has been crazy hectic and I am surprised I even had time to go for yoga class regularly and master the tree post.
Completely irrelevant and pushing that aside to look at a greater and much obvious victory, MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012 was a success! All the shouting, screaming, cat fights (just kidding!), minor and completely appropriate tension, is now over and I can go on with waking up at 7:09am every morning, after which I will be able to have the same strawberry oatmeal I have every single day.

As a music blogger, I’m ready for change (although I really love my dollars). So if I must understand the allure of K/J-Pop, I must then, delve right into the belly of the beast. And since the lovely boys from 2AM performed at the MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia’s post party and were ever so charming, I raided one of the designers’ desk and absconded with 2PM’s “2:00 Time For Change” (how apt!) and 2AM’s “Time For Confession” and attempted the impossible – Fall in love with K-Pop.
And while I was looking through the elaborately designed CD sleeves and trying to tell the boys from 2AM and 2PM apart, someone shouted over the desks and disrupted the peace of the day: 2PM’s leader, Park Jae-beom, has quit the group!Read more >>
