MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012: The AftermathPosted July 18th, 2012 At 4:55 pm By MTV ASIASo the past month, like I said in my previous post, has been crazy hectic and I am surprised I even had time to go for yoga class regularly and master the tree post.
Completely irrelevant and pushing that aside to look at a greater and much obvious victory, MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012 was a success! All the shouting, screaming, cat fights (just kidding!), minor and completely appropriate tension, is now over and I can go on with waking up at 7:09am every morning, after which I will be able to have the same strawberry oatmeal I have every single day.
Okay okay, I’ll get serious now and tell you what went down – NOTHING BUT TROUBLE.

Recently…Posted July 5th, 2012 At 2:29 pm By MTV ASIAWow, is this year not flying by faster than I can go through a bag of Cheetos? And trust me, I can really finish Cheetos at an abnormally fast speed.
Things have changed, people have changed, for the worst or better – so far everything has been looking pretty positive. A lot has been going on. An update on “events” Rich and I have been up to would include hosting Hennessy Artistry in Penang two weekends ago. That was rad! People of Penang got down and killed the party with the great time they were having. Also, Andy Moor played a killer set.

The Jesus and Mary ChainPosted May 18th, 2012 At 4:29 pm By MTV ASIAI can’t exactly remember when I first listened to The Jesus and Mary Chain. Probably later than everyone else because I was born after their debut and also lived in a box till I was like 17. I must have been living in Jakarta then and had a friend who’d play them every time we were in the car. All I know is that they have been one of the most inspirational bands that have left such a huge mark it’s hard not to have wondered who they were and, yeah, listened to The Jesus and Mary Chain.
A lot of them intrigued me at 17, especially their band name.

The Kooks Are Coming!Posted April 24th, 2012 At 2:59 pm By MTV ASIAThe Kooks are coming to Singapore! When my friend told me over the weekend, I was very excited and even though at that very moment I could name 5 songs by them, I went home and looked through my playlist and realised that I have many songs by them that have shaped the past few questionable/memorable/formative/damaged years of my life.
This is a picture of me looking excited about this show.

Le WeekendsPosted April 17th, 2012 At 6:22 pm By MTV ASIASo I realise I have been writing about a lot: My lack of book reading, my views on this and that and my sometimes painful heart and sometimes not so painful failures and success. But I never write about my weekend! Why? God knows. I sometimes struggle with deciding what I should write about. Then again, I always write on a Monday, so what better to write about than… my weekend?
So here I go. Are you ready? You better be.
Because all I did was sleep. That was my weekend. The end!
Haha, just kidding!!!

So, I Write.Posted April 5th, 2012 At 5:53 pm By MTV ASIAAfter religiously writing on my blog for nine years now, I started (or developed rather) an obsession with writing blogs since I was allowed unlimited access on computers at the age of 13. I still question, how am I a writer?
I have completed a total of two books in my entire existence. Well, I guess if you count the books I had to do in literature class, it would be about six in total. I wouldn’t count those though, because having my teacher read it to me is in no way book reading. Also, I say I have completed a total of two, but it does not mean I have only read two. I have read about 1-7 chapters of many, many, many books. I just did not feel the desire to complete any of those books. I have recently found a book that I have intense interest in! Well, from reading it’s Wikipedia at least.

Big Solar StormPosted March 26th, 2012 At 3:45 pm By MTV ASIAWhat’s the stage in between puberty and menopause? Oh um, being a woman. Being a crazy, difficult, emotionally unstable, balanced on the outside, female human being appearing to look well-balanced on most work days. I’ve just had a hard time admitting it.

I Had A Day To RememberPosted March 20th, 2012 At 3:31 pm By MTV ASIAI’ve been watching more shows (gigs) than ever this year, so when my friend Mae gave me tickets to A Day To Remember, I said YES right away! I was and am not really familiar with their songs, cept’ from when I ride in my friend Bryan’s car and he plays them at a volume that hurts all the way down to my liver.

Telly-EntertainmentPosted March 13th, 2012 At 2:54 pm By MTV ASIASome time last year, I decided I’d take up watching Telly, so I went out and I bought this massive HDTV. It was awesome. It came in a gigantic box which I disposed of, and the TV? I just left it on the floor by my bed all the way till… last Monday. Almost a year has passed and I did not touch my television.

My Chinese And IPosted March 6th, 2012 At 11:32 am By MTV ASIAI have always been (semi) fluent in English, and growing up, I literally had to be dragged by the neck to Mandarin class. In Mandarin class, I’d talk and I’d laugh, I’d paint my nails with marker and memorize lyrics to Blink 182 songs – I’d pretty much do Everything apart from pay attention to what was going on. I wouldn’t even say my Chinese name, just because I did not want to. No real reason.
