• Getting Punk’d On The MTV Show!Posted March 30th, 2012 At 7:36 pm By MTV ASIA

Alright, so VJ Holly and I are still wiping the egg from our faces. We were so owned by our entire production team (a.k.a. The Evil Geniuses), who put in countless hours and sleepless nights of planning to try and pull the wool over our eyes. I believe this whole thing started a few weeks ago when Holly and I were told that we were going to cover a Bollywood premiere event. We were told that this Indian Pop star had comparable talents to that of LMFAO. Shuffling is the same thing as gyrating apparently as we came to find out!

  • You Can Be Cool, Just Being YouPosted March 26th, 2012 At 4:45 pm By MTV ASIA

This past week, I was totally impressed by Jessie J when she visited Singapore on the last stop of her Asian/Australian Tour. The show at the Singapore Indoor Stadium was well attending by many adoring, extremely energetic fans. We interviewed her before the show and she was very down to earth, telling us which artists inspire her and the videos that she enjoys watching over and over again. Her Brit accent was infectiously charming and it was difficult not to keep noticing her flawless skin.

  • Teen Love Can Be An Awkward ThingPosted February 14th, 2012 At 5:18 pm By MTV ASIA

    Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, hello there! We’ve all made it together to this second week of February. Guys who are slacking in the love department this is YOUR time to get your act together and show your hearts true colors so get to work! I had once set up a Valentine’s Day DREAM DATE where every move was the greatest of romantic nuances intended and every gift was a swift messenger of my deep-seeded passions. I wanted it to be perfect – just the girl and me together on Valentine’s Day.

Back then, all I need to do is figure out how to ask my father, without totally embarrassing myself to pretty please with sugar on top: “I kind of LIKE this girl I met and I need you to drive me to the ice skating rink for my first date ever because I’m only 14?” I even slowed my speech for dramatic effect and allowed time for it to sink in properly. *cues dead air*

  • Efforts Never Gone To WastePosted February 6th, 2012 At 3:59 pm By MTV ASIA

Greetings guys and gals on this hectic Monday. I’ve been hacking away at computer work all morning taking breaks in between to chat with some people on Facebook and Twitter. Sincerely, this activity has become quite enjoyable for me. A few years ago I never saw myself swimming in the online sea but now I relish the daily dip. In the last few months of bonding with my office desktop, I’ve reconnected with many family members and friends – You know, the people you care about but tend not to make the extra effort to reach out to. Sometimes it’s just a simple phone call or text, but for some reason, you’re not sure what to say, you can’t be bothered or you’re just not in the mood.

  • The Super Bowl, And MorePosted February 6th, 2012 At 10:52 am By MTV ASIA

Well, here we are… holidays are behind us. Now in February of a leap year. My two friends from University with birthdays on the 29th are now 8. I have to make sure I greet them at the end of the month.

February is a busy month for everything but if you’re a sports fan you probably know that the Super Bowl is this weekend. The annual culmination of the National Football League season to determine the champion for American, professional football. There are often comparisons drawn between all types of football, rugby, soccer, etc. Truth be told, I think they’re all good. It’s truly a gripping, made for TV moment when all the practice, all the hype and all the talk boil down to one game and one opportunity to shine. Winners sip champagne and the losers make their own arrangements.

The Super Bowl , is a massive television event not just in the United States but all over the planet. Grown men and women of all races, ethnicities and tastes come together as one. Even those who don’t even care can be drawn into the spectacle. I would often tell friends who didn’t understand football or who have never watched it in their life to “scream when everyone else screams and you’ll have fun”. Watching any sporting event with a group of friends can be enjoyable. To all the ladies out there who sympathize to make their male friends happy and humour us by watching, thank you and on behalf of all men, WE LOVE YOU!

  • Be A Kind BullyPosted January 20th, 2012 At 5:59 pm By MTV ASIA

It disheartens me to hear individuals’ stories about being bullied in school. I’ve also heard the flip-side. People who have dished it out for many years. Insults, taunts, cliquish belittling and intimidation in all of its forms. It all boils down to a petty problem but sadly one with many real victims. There are those out there who feel that they have something to prove at someone else’s expense. However, there are far more people out there who believe in edifying the person standing next to them. People who believe that committing random acts of kindness is truly the best form of reality entertainment.

  • Here’s to POP!Posted January 6th, 2012 At 7:08 pm By MTV ASIA

Hello everyone! I just finished shooting the very first episode of The MTV Show with Her Wickedness, VJ Holly. I must say it was a lot of fun chatting about pop music and pop culture happenings. Something I’ve never done before. While we have similar interests, we are also very different so compromising may be in the form of heated debates. Thank goodness we are both friendly! VJ Holly is very educated with what’s happening in the pop world so keeping up with her isn’t going to be easy! She really has her hand on the pulse of pop music so I think it would be best for me to take notice and pick up a few pointers.
