• MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012: The AftermathPosted July 18th, 2012 At 4:55 pm By MTV ASIA

So the past month, like I said in my previous post, has been crazy hectic and I am surprised I even had time to go for yoga class regularly and master the tree post.

Completely irrelevant and pushing that aside to look at a greater and much obvious victory, MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012 was a success! All the shouting, screaming, cat fights (just kidding!), minor and completely appropriate tension, is now over and I can go on with waking up at 7:09am every morning, after which, to have the same strawberry oatmeal I have every single day.

Okay okay, I’ll get serious now and tell you what went down – NOTHING BUT TROUBLE.

Justin Bieber opened the show and yes, there were tears. He played “Never Say Never” and that sounded super cool. Watching from backstage I was like “Yeah, I wonder how much a crying girl would pay me to swap places for like 15 mins?”. Oh yeah, he also jumped into the crowd. Hehe. Oh Justin.

Next up, Kara. They have changed me! I don’t even know how they move the way they do and watching them made me think that maybe, just maybe the world would be a better place if I invested some time and money into a “how to dance hot” class because yeah, they were off the hook! However and whatever a girl SHOULD be all about, right there on stage.

Mizz Nina went on and her performance was great because she kind of used – I don’t know how to describe the sound but I am guessing – some dub-by beats? Have that and the whole audience singing along to “What You Waiting For” and you have a party. It was amazing seeing the crowd participate. It was like a sea of people singing, “Houston we got a little problem, we got a little problem”. I was singing along backstage, “Hey whuts my nammmme, hey baby, whuts my name… okay!!” totally in key!

And last, Jay Park made it a show to remember. His performance was tight and what really stood out was his dance moves and also his entire team. The coordination was right on the money. Super smooth. He sang “Star” and I was like, “I totally know this song!” because it was the song I had to test people to sing over and over again when they were trying to win Meet ‘N’ Greet passes at the road show. He did a great job and MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012 was a succcess!!

I am so happy to be able to be a part of it.

Shout out to everyone at MTV! Best World Stage yet!
