Recently, Nadya clinched the Elle Awards 2009 ‘Best Host’ title, beating fellow nominees Michelle Chia and Jade Seah.

Some of you may already be familiar with who Nadya Hutagalung is, but for those who aren’t, shame on you.

Nadya is certainly not new to the hosting scene as she was one of MTV Asia’s legendary original VJs, a stint which won her the 1997 Best Light Entertainment Presenter Award at the Asian Television Awards.

Her early involvement in the world of fashion and modeling has propelled her to launch her own jewellery line called O-Sel, meaning ‘Clear Light’ in Tibetan.

One of her most prestigious standings includes being voted as one of Asia’s Leading Trendmakers by Asiaweek magazine, alongside the Dalai Lama, Michelle Yeoh and Chow Yun Fatt, for her special ability to inspire and fascinate.

Nadya is also an advocate of Green Kampong, a community that supports eco-activism. It is also a platform for her to  raise awareness of how we can contribute towards the green cause.
